Everything your dock should do

DockDoor Pro is a floating translucent overlay that replaces the macOS dock entirely. Pin apps, folders, files, and URLs. Place it on any edge. Run it on every display.

Window Previews

Long-press or hover any running app for live thumbnail previews of all its windows. Close, minimize, or bring a specific window to front directly from the preview with traffic-light controls. Configurable preview size, fixed or natural aspect ratio, and hover-to-activate with adjustable delay.

File Tray

Scroll up on the dock to reveal a staging area. Drop files to store them temporarily. Click to open, drag out to move, drag to trash. Includes an AirDrop drop zone for instant sharing.

Magnification

Icons smoothly scale up under the cursor with neighbors shifting to make room. Configure scale (1.2x–3x) and effect distance (50–200pt).

Auto-Hide

The dock slides offscreen when idle and reappears on hover with configurable delay. Native AppKit proximity detection with haptic feedback. Hides automatically in fullscreen. Drag a file to the edge to reveal.

Notification Badges

A red badge dot appears on app icons with unread notifications. Clears automatically when the app gains focus.

Control Panel

Three display modes. Configurable action button grid. Long-press for a full drawer with app launcher, dock set switcher, volume slider, audio device picker, and power controls.

Dock Sets

A different dock for every context

Create multiple dock sets, each with its own pinned items, custom name, and SF Symbol icon. Assign a different set to each display. Switch from the control panel or scroll the mouse wheel to cycle.

AppSense takes it further — link a dock set to an app, and the dock automatically switches when that app is focused. It reverts when you move away.

Your music lives in the dock

A footer widget shows animated album artwork for the current track. Tap to play/pause, scroll to adjust volume, long-press for the full player.

The full popover has album art with a 3D flip animation on track change, marquee-scrolling track info, a seek bar, and controls for skip, scrub, play/pause.

Synced lyrics highlight the current line in real time with a karaoke-like anticipation offset.

Your data stays on your Mac

DockDoor Pro is designed with privacy at its core. This policy explains exactly what data is collected, how it's used, and your rights.

Privacy Policy

Data Collection. DockDoor Pro does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. There is no telemetry, no analytics, no file scanning, and no tracking of any kind. The application runs entirely on your Mac.

License Activation. The only network communication occurs during license activation. A one-way hashed device identifier (SHA-256) and your license key are sent to the activation server. No emails, names, IP addresses, or hardware serial numbers are transmitted or retained.

Cryptographic Verification. License responses are cryptographically signed using RSA + SHA-256 so the application can verify authenticity and detect tampering. All communication is over HTTPS with HSTS enforced.

Third Parties. DockDoor Pro does not share data with any third parties. No advertising SDKs, analytics frameworks, or external services are included.

End User License Agreement

License Grant. DockDoor Pro grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the software on devices you own, subject to the terms of your purchased license.

Restrictions. You may not redistribute, reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the software. You may not circumvent or tamper with the license activation system.

Disclaimer. The software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. In no event shall the author be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from the use of the software.

Revocation. The author reserves the right to revoke a license in the event of misuse.
