Parall runs multiple independent instances of the same Mac app, each with its own name and Dock icon and, where the app allows it, its own accounts, profiles and data. It can also turn websites into apps in your Dock.

With DockDoor Pro: apps opened through Parall are recognized, so each instance's Dock icon previews only that instance's windows. This works in DockDoor Pro and DockDoor.

Droppy app icon

Droppy

Developer-supported

By Jordy Spruit, for macOS Sonoma and later

Droppy turns the notch, or the top of any display without one, into a Dynamic Island for music controls, live activities like downloads, timers and meetings, a file tray and clipboard history. Over 30 free extensions, called Droplets, add tools like a Pomodoro timer, synced lyrics and window snapping.

DockDoor inside Droppy: Droppy offers DockDoor, the free version of DockDoor Pro, as an authorized Droplet, so you can add window previews to your Dock right from Droppy. Droppy also runs side by side with DockDoor Pro: files, music and live activities in the notch, your apps, window previews and widgets in the Dock.
